A Magistrate Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, has ordered dual DNA tests to determine the paternity of late singer Mohbad’s son, Liam Aloba.
The tests are to be conducted in accredited facilities—one in Nigeria and another abroad—with representatives of both parties present during sample collection.
The court further directed that tissue or hair samples be extracted from Mohbad’s remains, currently at the Military Hospital in Yaba, for the tests.
Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, raised no objection to the ruling. The case, which stems from family disputes over inheritance and paternity, has been adjourned until November 11, 2025, for further proceedings.
