“Nothing of such happened. Ogbeni never said anything like that. I think the media aide to the Minister was only quoted out of context. These things are the making of the Traducers of the government”.
Reacting to an inquiry from a Caller on the programme, Adeyinka said popular Fulani Warlord Iskilu Wakili is in safe custody adding that he was never at anytime kept at Abolongo Correctional facility in Oyo.
His words “I think what the people needs to know is that Wakili is in safe custody. He was never in Abolongo before the attack because the nature of his crime never warranted that he should be kept there”.
Speaking on what is being done to forestall a repeat, he said all Correctional facilities across the Country is now being treated as “critical national asset”.
“what the federal government through the Ministry of Interior has done is to classify these facilities as critical asset of national importance. I can tell you that anyone who attacks any of the correctional centres in the country now is on a suicide mission as they are now well fortified”.
