In a voice note he released, Brymo said a part of him wants to feel remorseful about the condition he gave Simi even though he didn’t know she was with Adekunle Gold at the time.
The singer further revealed that he gave Ghanaian singer, Efya, same condition and all he wanted was to experience what it feels like to make music with someone he’s bedding.
In line with the cardinal agenda of the Ogun State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice (Dr.) Mosunmola Dipeolu, FICMC, FHNR to decongest the Correctional Centres across the State, his Lordship has stressed the need for the expansion of all Correctional Centres to ease decongestion.
The Chief Judge who made the call during his Lordship’s periodic Jail Delivery exercise held on Monday, 17th July, 2023 at the State Judiciary Complex in Abeokuta, granted amnesty to a total of seven awaiting trials inmates from various prison formations in the State.
The inmates who were freed from Ibara, Ilaro and Oba Correctional Centres were admonished by the Chief Judge, to make themselves useful and law abiding as they were released from confinement.
In the words of Hon. Justice Dipeolu, “Some of the freed inmates who were accused for armed robbery, unlawful killing, and murder have to be released due to no information on the inmates from the Ministry of Justice, witnesses not appearing before the court, files not traced, no record from the police, and we cannot keep on holding them back in the prison”.
The Chief Judge who also promised to continue holding Jail Delivery exercises as may be necessary, named the free inmates to include, Adebayo Sodiq, Azeez Rasaq, Tunde Abiodun, Azeez Hassan, Uchechukwu Innocent, Musibau Ademola and Akinbola Wasiu.
In the same vein, the Ogun State Deputy Comptroller of Correctional Centres, Mr James Ogunmodede who appreciated the State Chief Judge for His Lordship’s passionate gesture, said this would serve as speedy way of decongesting the Correctional Centres across the State.
The Executive Director of the Centre for Justice, Mercy and Reconciliation, Pastor Hezekiah Olujobi, described the regular Jail Delivery exercises by the Hon. Chief Judge as a good gesture to humanity.
He added that “Our NGO has been looking at cases that are lumped together, to ensure thorough investigations on how they might have been unlawfully remanded in custody, which leads to wrongful conviction and miscarriage of justice”.
The Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Oyo State has finally released successful candidates in the recently held consensus primary held to select the flag bearers of the party in the forthcoming Local Government election.

Hon Femi Emmanuel Aikomo has been elected as the chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Afijio Local Government.
Aikomo was elected by the party’s delegates at the primary election held at the party’s secretariat in Afijio Local Government .
Hon Aikomo who had earlier been adopted by the party’s stakeholders as the consensus chairmanship candidate defeated all other contestants at the primaries.
He polled a total of ninety votes to defeat four other candidates.
The returning officer, Oladosu Akinloye declared the results as follows:

Owolabi Folaranmi – votes
Oyebanji Toyin – 2 votes

British-Nigerian singer Azeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has revealed why he speaks Yoruba fluently despite growing up in London, the United Kingdom.
The Marlian Music honcho, who raps mostly in Yoruba, said his dad banned the speaking of English in their house while allowing only Yoruba.
He disclosed this in an interview with Cool FM Nigeria in Lagos.
Naira Marley said: “What made it easy for me [to blend with Nigerian street music] is that I grew up in South-East London, Peckham to be precise. That is like small Lagos, you know what I mean?
“And all my life in England, my dad banned speaking English in the house. So, we had to speak Yoruba and all these Yoruba stuff. I still listen to Fuji. We eat African foods. Even though I’m in England, it was like I’m still in Nigeria. Yeah, it was easy for me. When I came back [to Nigeria], people didn’t really know I came from London.”
The singer said he could have been a footballer, adding that he played for Arsenal youth team while in England.
The Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Safety Corps code-named So-Safe Corps, an arm of the Ogun State Government established to ensure security and safety of the property of the citizenry has arrested notorious motorbikes’ snatchers in Ogun.
The statement is contained in the press release issued from the Office of the State Commander of the agency, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the office of the Director of information and public relations of the agency said that at about 1100hrs on 30th. June, 2023 one Mr Lawal Kazeem reported his missing motorbike marked JBD 933 VZ stolen from his farmland in Abapawa Community in Ijebu Ode Local Government Area.
Ganzallo noted that Officers of the agency were put on their toes to bring to book those that perpetrated the act and they were put on surveillance.
Ganzallo disclosed that on 19th. July, 2023, two middle-aged men, Mr Okoro Ogudu popularly called ‘Chi Boy’ , 25 years old and Okechukwu Eze, 28 years old and residents of Ibadan, Oyo State, suspected to be the alleged snatchers of the said motorbike, were sighted on the spot where the motorbike was parked then on the farmland.
Ganzallo said that one of the two suspects brought out cutlass and the man ran for his life. The So-Safe Office at Itoro was contacted to safe the victim’s life and the Officers swung into action immediately.
Ganzallo further revealed that the Ijebu Ode Zonal Command Team led by ACC Marcus Ayankoya swift response made possible the arrest of the suspects and protecting the victim.
During preliminary investigation of the agency, the victim could recognize the suspects as the same people who ran away from the spot of the theft in month ofJune. Also the cloth put on by one of the suspects was kept under the seat of the stolen motorbike he said .
Exhibit found with the alleged snatchers are: 2 litres of PMS(Petrol), 2 cutlasses, Motorbikes tools of various kinds, 1 Motorbike key, 1 baby cloth and 6 clothes for adults.
Mr. Tunji Adeleke (Jnr), the son to the late Osun State governor, Isiaka Adeleke, an elder brother to the incumbent governor, and the chairman of the defunct Rauf Aregbesola’s faction of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Rasaq Salinsile, have been named board chairmen by Governor Ademola Adeleke on Thursday.
Adeleke (Jnr) was named chairman, Local Government Service Commission, while Salinsile, was named chairman of the Teaching Service Commission.
A statement by the spokesperson to the governor, Olawale Rasheed, also listed ex-National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Prof. Wale Oladipo, as the chairman, Osun State University Governing Council, while ex-PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Diran Odeyemi, was named the chairman, Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke.
Others listed as chairmen of state statutory boards are; Mr. Gbenga Onigbogi, University of Ilesa, Mr. Diran Ayanbeku, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Mr Peter Babalola, Osun State College of Education, Ila, Senator Kola Ogunwale, Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa.
Following the ongoing hardship romancing Nigerians after the removal of subsidy by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration, the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union, COEASU, had directed its members to go to work just two days in a week.
COEASU stated that its members should go to work two days in a week until the Federal Government increased their salary by 200 per cent.
This is according to a statement signed by COEASU National president, Dr. Smart Olugbeko, on Wednesday, July 19,2023.
Olugbeko stated that the decision was due to the difficulties of its members to get to work as a result of hike in pump price.
He maintained that it became inevitable for the union to direct members to go to work only two days weekly.
The National president stated that the present salary of staffs of colleges was approved 13 years ago, when pump price was N65, and now pump price has skyrocketed to N650.
However, he called on president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to quickly address the issues of salary adjustment for staff of colleges of education.
The people of Oyo State have started expressing their displeasure over the recent hike in the price of petroleum after the removal of fuel subsidies by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Recall. on Tuesday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced increase in the pump prices of petrol to N617 per litre from N500 per litre.
A few of the residents who spoke in a brief chat expressed their dissatisfaction on Tinubu-led government for increasing the petrol price without considering the plight of Nigerians.
They said the new increment of petrol to N617 per litre would further cause untold hardship and give room for high prices of commodities and essential goods.
THE Organised Labour, comprising Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC; Trade Union Congress, TUC, and the Joint Negotiating Council, JNC, in Ondo State, yesterday, described the increase in the pump price of petroleum products as wicked.
Rising from an emergency meeting in Akure, the labour unions expressed worries over the government’s insensitivity to the plight of Nigerians.
In a communiqué by leaders of the organised union, they joined “well-meaning Nigerians to condemn this wicked action of government, as it is absolutely beyond the reach of the majority of our people.”
The communiqué, signed by the NLC Chairman, Victor Amoko; Secretary, Amos Sunday; TUC Chairman, Clement Fatuase; Secretary, Gideon Bakare; JNC Chairman, Ademola Adeniji, and Secretary, Adeleye Esther, reads: “We have resolved that the state government, as a matter of urgency, should roll out palliatives for the workers and masses of the state to ease the agonies inflicted as a result of the hike in price of PMS.
“All outstanding salaries and allowances owed to the workers of the state should be paid immediately.
“That any committee on palliatives set up by the state government, without the input of Ondo State Organized Labour, would be out rightly rejected.”
