The former chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party PDP and a leader of New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP, Chief Bisi Olopoeyan has condemned the ‘light-up-Oyo’ project and tagged it a failed a project.

Olopoeyan made this disclosure today while granting an interview to journalists at his residence, Olopoeyan said he has never seen such project in his life where diesel would be used to power street lights as against modern system of solar-powered as being run in Lagos and other states.
He also talked about the inability of Gov Makinde to show his support to the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. He said Makinde only have single term to spend and that if not because of the incumbency power he holds, he should have been suspended from PDP for conniving with others to stand against the decision of the party’s presidential candidate.

He also chides the supporters of Makinde and called them hungry people who wander around looking for what to eat.
“Go and look at his supporters, they are hungry, Makinde will only use single term and by the end of his tenure, people would desert him.
“He always claim he is paying salary of workers on the 25th of every month, is that not foolishness to be campaigning with payment of salary when you be campaigning with infrastructural development. If you pay on the 13th or 30th, it still the same thing and there is no different. Moreover, it is the entitlement of the workers not that you are doing them a favour.

“If he leaves government, we would see his shady deal and shall be exposed to the world”.
