The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has visited the family of Alhaji Kazeem Animashaun, a prominent Eruwa businessman who was reportedly ambushed and killed by unidentified gunmen in the Wasinmi area of Iseyin Local Government Area.
Ogundoyin paid the condolence visit to the deceased’s residence in Orita, Eruwa, Ibarapa East Local Government Area, where he met with the late businessman’s wife, children and other family members to express his sympathy over the tragic incident.
The Speaker described the killing as painful and disturbing, noting the difficulty of coping with the sudden and violent loss of a loved one. He urged security agencies to intensify investigations, establish the circumstances surrounding the attack, apprehend those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice.
He stressed the need for a comprehensive investigation, warning that every necessary step must be taken to prevent the perpetrators from escaping justice.
Ogundoyin also called for stronger security measures across Oyo State, emphasising the importance of coordinated action by relevant agencies to protect lives and property and prevent further violent crimes.
The killing of the Eruwa businessman has heightened concerns over the safety of residents and travellers in parts of Oyo State, with calls growing for security agencies to ensure that those behind the attack are brought to justice.
