2027: Gbenga Hashim Gains Ground in Osun as Residents reject Adeleke’s Tinubu Alliance

Influencers in Oyo, Lagos, Kwara adopt Accord presidential agenda

Support for Accord Party presidential candidate, Dr Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, is becoming a feature of political discussions in Osun State, as some radio callers and social media commentators question Governor Ademola Adeleke’s decision to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Callers on radio stations, including Diamond FM, Unique FM and King FM, have reportedly favoured Hashim’s presidential agenda amid the debate over Adeleke’s political alignment.

Meanwhile, videos circulating on TikTok and Facebook show content creators identified as Almaruf, Doki Dorcas, The God, Unusual Challenges, etc expressing support for Hashim and criticising the governor’s position.

In one of the videos, Doki Dorcas urged Osun residents to support Hashim’s presidential ambition. In another, Almaruf argued that voters who supported Accord during the governorship election should not abandon their earlier political choice to return to the APC.

“We rejected APC by voting for Accord, and we won’t return to our vomit,” Almaruf said in the video.

The conversation has also reportedly extended beyond Osun, with social media influencers in Oyo, Kwara and Lagos promoting Hashim’s presidential agenda.

Supporters interpret these activities as signs of growing engagement with Hashim’s candidacy across the Southwest.

The Southwest mobilisation effort also has a stated numerical target. Alhaji Abass Olaniyi, the Southwest Coordinator of the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement, has set a target of attracting three million votes for Hashim across the region.

For now, the dispute over Adeleke’s alignment with Tinubu has opened a wider conversation about party loyalty, political leadership and voters’ freedom to make independent choices in the 2027 presidential election.
