The president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria CBN to ensure the recirculation of old N200 note till April 10 in order to ease cash shortage Nigerians currently facing.
The President made this known on Thursday morning during an address to Nigerians.
He also apologised to Nigerians over the difficulties experienced in accessing the scarce new naira notes.
He therefore threw his weight behind the CBN governor to render other old notes, N500 and N1000 as illegal tender in Nigeria.
