As this year world Tourism day is fast approaching, the Oyo state Government under the leadership of Engineer Seyi Makinde has taken a bold step towards a successful event of this year World Tourism day celebration coming up on the 27th of September, 2021 at Ado-Awaye.
This was authouritatively revealed by the Special Assistance to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ademola Ige when he visited the Ado hill tourism site with other relevant officials in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Directors of works both in Iseyin local government and Araromi LCDA, to determine the rehabilitation works that needed to be carried out on the site in preparation for the upcoming event today Tuesday 11th August, 2021. Shortly after a critical assessment of the infrastructures on the site, Hon. Ademola Ige who was the leader of the team unequavocally directed the duo of Directors of works both in Iseyin local government and Araromi LCDA to commence the necessary actions immediately on the possible rehabilitation of the steps leading to the hill-top and the mini hall down the hill, among others.
Kabiyesi Alado of Ado-Awaye, Oba Rev’d Ademola Olugbile Folakanmi,Makuledoye 11,Soludero 1,while he was reacting appreciated the Oyo state Governor, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde FSNE, for this bold step decribing it as good gesture towards the development of the site and for a successful hosting of the upcoming world tourism day event.
In a related development, Hon.Dele Adeola, the Honourable member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency, while he was speaking equally appreciated His Excellence, Governor Seyi Makinde for the uncommon display of love to the people of Ado-Awaye and Iseyin local government at large. According to Hon. Adeola,”His Excellence has always shown genuine love to the people of my constituency and I so much appreciate him for this”.In addition, he equally charged the Directors of works to double efforts on the rehabilitation work both on the steps and the mini hall as earlier said by Hon. Ige in view of time constraint to the programme date, and he ended up pledging continuous and unalloyed supports and cooperations of his people to the government of Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde in the state.
