Members of Ward 10, Owode-Ipapo in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State have expressed profound appreciation to Oyo State Governor, , and the leadership of the (PDP) for appointing Hon. Salau Olaniyi Nurudeen as the new Itesiwaju Local Government Party Chairman.
In a statement issued by party members in the ward, the group described the appointment as a demonstration of confidence in Nurudeen’s leadership capacity following the demise of the former chairman, Hon. Ganiyu Owolabi, who passed away on November 4, 2025. The ward members noted that the decision by the party leadership reflects its commitment to continuity and internal democracy.
They emphasized that the appointment is not only a great honour to Ward 10 but also a call to higher responsibility, pledging their full support to ensure the success of the new chairman. According to them, Hon. Nurudeen is committed to delivering transparent, inclusive, and selfless service to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
The group further assured party leaders that the new chairman would work diligently to promote unity, discipline, and progress within the PDP in Itesiwaju Local Government. They added that efforts would be made to carry all members along, ensuring inclusiveness and active participation across all levels.
Reaffirming their loyalty to the party, the Ward 10 members appreciated the continued support of party elders, youths, and women, expressing optimism that the PDP in Oyo State would continue to grow stronger in unity and purpose.
