The Muslim community in Ondo State hasĀ faulted the decision of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to return some public schools to Faith Based Organizations (FBOs)
At a news briefing in Akure, the state capital, the Chairman, League of Imams and Alfas, Sheikh Ahmad Aladesawe said such decision is barbaric, unprogressive and pose a serious danger to the growth of education in the State.
Represented by the Secretary of the League and Chief Imam of Supare Akoko, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Akerele, Sheik Aladesawe alleged that the development was tantamount to giving out public properties to empower some individuals in the FBOs.
The cleric also alleged that such action would deny Muslim children access to such schools.
Sheik Aladesawe then disclosed that the Muslim Community would seek legal action if the state government fails to rescind its decision.
