The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the release of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results.
According to a statement from the Acting Director of Public Affairs, Azeez Sani, a total of 179,201 candidates registered for the exam.
The examination took place between May 12 and May 23, 2025, across the country.
NECO said the results were approved after a meeting of the 2025 BECE Award Committee held at its headquarters in Minna.
The committee chair, Dr. Folake David of the Federal Ministry of Education, expressed satisfaction with the result processing.
Secondary school principals and NECO management also attended the meeting.
The council has scheduled the BECE re-sit for Mathematics and English on July 23 and 24, 2025.
