ODUDUWA NEWS reported on the 30th of March, 2023, a case of alleged domestic violence involving one Aina Grace who was visited at the hospital by our correspondent, narrating her ordeal and how she allegedly escaped death from her mother-in-law and sister-in-law.
According to Grace Aina, the mother-in-law and the sister-in-law both living at Oke-Bola area of Ibadan collaborated to assault her to the point of using knife to stab her.
Meanwhile, in our quest to get to the root of the matter and unravel the mysteries surrounding the incident, our correspondent visited the family to get their own side of the story and it was gathered that the mother-in-law, Evangelist Eucharia Ifeyinwa Ojukwu and the sister-in-law, Onyechukwu Precious Ojukwu were detained at Iyaganku Police Station.
The family revealed to ODUDUWA NEWS that Aina Grace was not legally married and that she is a girlfriend to their son who lives in South Africa. Though, she has a son for him but she is not legally married.
In her own words, Precious Onye Ojukwu who is the principal actor in the incident and who had a fight with Aina Grace narrated her own ordeal, she said Aina Grace had been a serial troublemaker who usually revealed her family secret to the public and that she had been cautioned several times for the attitude but all to no avail. “On that day of the incident, on Sunday, the 26th of March, 2023, i and my mother did everything to prevent the fight but she started cursing my family and my mother repeatedly. We did everything possible to ensure the issue did not escalate but Aina Grace never listened to my Mum’s plea only to continue threatening her which eventually resulted to fight between us.

“I never stabbed her as she claimed. It was just ordinary fighting between us and as you know how women used to fight. I never retaliated on her provocative attitude not until when she came to meet me inside my room and bit me in which I also bit her and we started fighting. Nothing like knife was taken out while we were fighting and it was when she brought the fight herself that i retaliated”, said Precious Onye.
A close associate of the family, and a security expert who is a retired military officer spoke to ODUDUWA NEWS under the condition of anonymity, said it came as a surprise to him when he read the news on ODUDUWA NEWS claiming that she was stabbed. “Aina Grace intentionally lied to tarnish the image of a very revered spiritual mother, Evangelist Chukuwu”, he stated further that he was privy to the information about the incident and that both only fought dirty and had teeth marks on their faces. He said, he is an investigator and the marks on both faces were just teeth marks not knife marks as claimed by her.
He said, the case might be referred to Court if Aina Grace insists on prolonging the matter under false accusation and that the family would not hesitate to take it up if both the mother and daughter are not granted freedom. It is a civil matter and not criminal matter and that he does not expect them to stay beyond 24 hours at detention.
