Birthday Tribute: Celebrating Hon. Abass Alesinloye

Today, we joyfully celebrate the birthday of Hon. Abass Alesinloye, a leader whose dedication to youth, governance, and community continues to inspire many across Ibadan and beyond.

As a former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, you showed that public service, at its best, means being close to the people, listening, caring, and delivering results. Under your leadership, vocational training, local development, and youth empowerment programs blossomed, and your leadership has left a lasting mark.

One of the most meaningful recognitions you have received was being honoured with the “Most Distinguished Ibadan Indigene” award bestowed on you by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII). This award recognizes not just service, but the integrity, humility, and commitment that earned you the respect of both traditional institutions and everyday citizens who see in you a true son of Ibadan.

In 2024, the Federation of Ibadan Students’ Union (FIBSU) at Obafemi Awolowo University further acknowledged your tireless support for student communities by selecting you for their prestigious Award of Excellence, among other notable awards to your name.

On this special day, we express profound gratitude for your mentorship, your belief in youth, and the leadership you’ve provided in politics and governance. You model how one can be both powerful and approachable, formal and warm.

May this birthday bless you with continued wisdom, strength, and joy. Thank you for being a leader who rises — and lifts others as you rise.
