There seems to be growing concern among staff, politicians and the people of Ado-Awaye town over the missing excavator of the Araromi Local Council Development Area of Iseyin Local Government.
According to independent findings, the council excavator was taken away to an undisclosed destination for several months by the Council Chairman, Mr. Timothy Ogunleke.
A source also confirmed that the Council Political Head, Timothy Ogunleke had since been questioned by top politicians and stakeholders in the town over the whereabouts of the excavator meant to be generating revenue for the Council.

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has sent a note to the people of his state and his well wishers, thanking them for their prayers and goodwill messages – which he said have been a soothing balm for him in recovery. Recall that Akeredolu had gone on a 21-day medical leave on June 13, while handing over to his deputy. It is however not clear whether he will be resuming at the expiration of the leave. The Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, today arrived at the Stadium Complex, Adekunle Cantonment, Odogbo Barracks, Ojoo, Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, for the Nigerian 2023 Army Day Celebration.
Shettima who was received at Odogbo Barracks with rousing welcome lauded the Nigerian Army for its role in protecting the territorial integrity of the nation.
He also spoke on the need for the security agencies to form a synergy towards combating insurgency and other crimes in the country.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa, while speaking at the event advocated deserved promotion for troops, particularly soldiers, as well as officers, fighting insurgency, saying it is painful to someone giving all his best when promotion goes to someone else.

…..Raise Alarm Over Death Threats To Member By Muslim Fanatics
A body of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Practitioners in Nigeria, Isese Welfare Association (IWA) has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to urgently wade into a brewing security situation in Ilorin, Kwara State, where a member, Omolara Olatunji, popularly known as Yeye Ajesikemi was being threatened by some Muslim fanatics who were against her celebration of the 2023 Isese Festival in Ilorin.
In a Press Statement made available to newsmen on Thursday and signed by Coordinator of the body, Aderemi Ifaoleepin and the Secretary-General, Ifagbenusola Popoola, IWA also called on the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, the Department of State Security and the Police authority to look into the matter and ensure the provisions of the nation’s constitution on freedom of religion is followed to the letter.
Omolara Oladipo (Yeye Ajesikemi) was said to have been threatened by fanatics physically and through other means over the week for her preparation towards the 2023 Isese Festival, scheduled to hold on the 24th of July, 2023, with the claim that Ilorin belonged to the Muslims alone.
According to the Coordinator of IWA, every available means of intimidation and death threats were applied by the fanatics to discourage the organizer of the event to cancel the celebration, which is held globally by adherents of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe religion.
He added that instead for the police authority in Kwara State to wade in and enforce the provisions of the constitution in allowing the freedom of religious beliefs, the victim was told to cancel the event.
“We greet you all in the name of all the Irúnmọlẹ̀ / Òrìṣà and particularly Almighty Olódùmarè. Over the week, we have seen how some fanatical Muslims in Ilorin, Kwara State capital seriously threatened and intimidated an Oníṣẹ̀ṣe (a practitioner of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe – Yorùbá Indigenous Religion) in the person of Yèyé Ajéṣìkẹ́mí Olókun (Omolara Olatunji) whose Ìṣẹ̀ṣe festival was scheduled to take place along Secondary School Road, Oke Andi, Ìlọrin, Kwara State between 22nd and 24th of July, 2023 which has to be cancelled, due to serious threat to her life, and supposedly for security reasons, based on the stern warning and advice of the police.
“We are constrained here to ask these simple and straight questions: is Ilorin no more a Yorùbá community or no more part of Yorubaland? Is Ilorin now solely a Muslim Community? Do people still have the rights under Nigerian Constitution to practice whatever religion they subscribe to? If truly, Islam is a religion of peace, is threatening others over their belief system an act of peace? What does peace mean to these sets of fanatical Muslims in Ilorin?
“It is not only unethical, unlawful and a gross act of misconduct against the right of freedom of worship, but a sheer act of wickedness for the fanatical Muslims in Ilorin community to dictate the mode of worship and religious practices to be observed in “llorin Emirate”.
“Certainly, this act of religious intolerance by these fanatical Muslims in Ilorin calls for a review and reflection by the appropriate authorities.
“Now is the time to say NO to this uncivilised acts of denying others their constitutionally guaranteed rights of observance of their Indigenous Religious obligations.
“Consequently, we urge the President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Ahmad Bola Tinubu, who is a true son of Yoruba land to wade in and give directives to the security agencies to give utmost protection to our people, same appeal goes to the State Governor, an injustice to one, is an injustice to all.”
The body emphasized its support to the organizer of the event in Ilorin, Kwara State, Yeye Ajesikemi and other Oníṣẹ̀ṣe (Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Practitioners) in the State and all over the world, stating that they will not keep quiet or turn blind eyes to any injustice to its members from any quarter.
They went further to preach peaceful coexistence among religious bodies and practitioners to engender human development.
“We, at Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Welfare Association (IWA), aka Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Assembly through this medium wishes to inform the general public that we are solidly behind Yèyé Ajéṣìkẹ́mí and all other committed practising Oníṣẹ̀ṣe in Ilorin, Kwara State. And that we will not keep quiet or turn a deaf-hear to this ugly development orchestrated by these sets of extremists/fundamentalists hiding under a religion to threaten and intimidate others. Embrace peace! Love one, love all!! Live and let others live!!!”
Babafemi Badejo, a Professor of Political Science and International Relations has stated that Tinubu’s Government will be worse than Buhari’s in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.
The professor stated this while delivering the first inaugural lecture of Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, titled: “Interests.”
“On President Tinubu, it is too early to give a conclusion, but I can say that from what he has done in one month, he will do by far better than Buhari, but not on corruption.
He (Tinubu) has not been talking about corruption, but all he has been saying is that he is going to make sure that judges are comfortable, make everybody comfortable, but no country around the world can be comfortable by staying very far away from fighting corruption. Maybe he will change his mind later on corruption. I wish him well.” He said.
A mentally derailed man, whose name is yet to be identified, has strangulated a 17 -year-old student to death in the Arogbo axis of Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
It was gathered that the deceased, Beke Meretighan – a JSS 3 student of Ijaw National High School in Arogbo – was attacked by the ‘mad man’ while writing his West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).
Eyewitnesses revealed on Wednesday night that the enraged madman found his way into the school premises after the students had allegedly mocked him.
One of the eyewitnesses, who does not want his name published, told ODUDUWA NEWS that the students ran helter-skelter as the suspect forced his way into the classes where they writing their examination.
He added that Meretighan who could not run fast was caught by the suspect who placed his head under his shoulder before strangling him to death.

The founder of Christ Apostolic Church CAC Agbara has been reportedly dead.
Born on 9th September, Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere was a deep preacher, teacher and gospel evangelist who was anointed for signs and wonders.
Popularly known as Baba Olowere, he was one of the few living Christ Apostolic Church’s (CAC) most respected ministers of the gospel. He was a strange prophet of God and one of the remaining few men who contacted a great measure of the anointing of God from the revered Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola.
There are some indications that the Iseyin-born legal luminary, Barrister Ahmed Raji SAN might have been finally considered as a minister-nominee from Oyo state.
According to a source, baring last minute change, four names were previously considered for the ministerial appointment from Oyo State which included Raji Ahmed SAN, Florence Ajimobi, Sen. Teslim Folarin and Joseph Tegbe.
A confirmed source revealed to ODUDUWA NEWS that after critical assessment from the Presidency, Barrister Ahmed Raji might be finally favoured to be selected for the ministerial appointment from Oyo State going by several factors to be considered by President Bola Tinubu.
It was also gathered that some governors and powerful people are also scheming to favour their anointed candidates in some other states but the choice of Ahmed Raji said to be connected to the closed tie he has with Asiwaju and the influence of the Governor of Oyo State who was among G-5 governors that worked against the interest of PDP in the last presidential election to favour the incumbent President.
Ahmed Raji said to have a smooth relationship with Tinubu as he is among the leading lawyers in the legal team of President Tinubu defending his case at the ongoing Presidential Election Tribunal.
The Abuja-based lawyer was also seen at the forefront, defending the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN Olukayode Ariwoola who also hails from the same town with the Senior Advocate when the CJN was dragged in scandalous wheel-barrow-disguised secret London meeting with Tinubu.
It was also learnt that Nyesom Wike who was the arrowhead of the G5 has also been selected as the ministerial-nominee for Rivers State.
Recall, Makinde, Wike and others in the G-5 group have been meeting President Tinubu at the Villa immediately after the presidential election and some arrangements were made concerning ministerial-nominees in their respective states.

Super Eagles of Nigeria and Nothingham Forest of England striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, on Monday visited his alma maters, Adetunji Nursery and Primary school, Alfa Yahaya, Ilorin and Government Day Secondary School, Airport, Ilorin.
Awoniyi who was received by the Proprietor of Adetunji Nursery and Primary school, Mr AbdulRahman Adetunji, was conducted round the school premises.
The Nothingham Forest forward who was welcomed to the school premises to a large scream from the pupils later addressed them.
The Super Eagles marksman urged the pupils never to stop dreaming of becoming whatever they desired to become in the future.
“This man (Adetunji) standing beside me is a huge inspiration, he made me the Games’ Prefect while I was in primary 4.
“He was always encouraging us, his support then was a driving force and I am where I am today because I listened to the teachers.
“You need to listen to the teachers and follow their instructions always” Awoniyi said.
Awoniyi after donating cash to the teachers and also donated books and other various writing materials in his elementary school.
While at his secondary school, Government Day Secondary School (GDSS), Airport, Ilorin, the Super Eagles’ striker was noticed by the students amid large chant of “Awoniyi! Awoniyi!! Awoniyi!! as they made their way out of the class to receive and welcome him.
The Nothingham Forest man who was received by the Principal of the school, Mr Olayinka Aremo, was delighted to see some of his old teachers who rushed to hug and take photos with him.
The school management expressed appreciation and thanked him for embarking on the renovation of six classrooms and a Hall at the school.
Awoniyi was hosted to a prayer session as members of staff took turn to pray for him one after the other.
He addressed the students and also urged them to continue to be good ambassadors of the school even as the striker expressed hope that they can become someone like him in the future.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is, hereby, restating its earlier position that the UTME result being paraded by Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma is patently fake.
Consequently, the Board would like to reassure Nigerians that its system was neither tampered with nor compromised as the candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip of a candidate named “Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle”, who sat the UTME in 2021 and scored 138.
It is also instructive to note that the candidate, in her statement, has inadvertently revealed the rightful owner of the result she is parading when she pointed out that the QR code on the result slip showed the actual owner of the said result before she peddled a lie in an attempt to obfuscate the truth.
To witness the unassailable position of the Board regarding this obvious falsehood, the general public is, therefore, urged to endeavour to scan the QR code on the result slip to see its actual owner before it was mutilated.
It is to be noted that the QR code encapsulates the UTME result of each candidate, hence, what is on the result sheet is nothing other than the interpretation of the information on this QR code.
Furthermore, the public is also to note that the Board stopped issuing Notification of Result slips after the 2021 UTME for the simple reason that candidates were falsifying them. Consequently, the Board has been issuing actual UTME RESULT Slips (not notification of results ) since 2022 complete with the photograph of each candidate.
Similarly, the public is also invited to ponder on the fact that out of all the candidates that sat the 2023 UTME, only Ms. Ejikeme Mmesoma parades the obsolete ‘Notification of Result.’
The Board remains unperturbed by this unfortunate development as this is not the first time such fraudulent claims have been made. As such, Nigerians are urged to recall numerous occasions where the Board was sued for billions of naira only for the lawyers to later apologise profusely for their clients’ misadventure. Prominent among these is the case of a candidate, John Chinedu Ifesinachi, who, in 2021, wrote a letter to the Board , threatening to sue for N2b damages, only for him and his counsel to tender unreserved apology when the candidate eventually confessed his crime in the face of incontrovertible facts in an open investigation observed by several national public institutions including the Public Complaints Commission, National Human Rights Commission, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Council, Servicom and media houses.
This case has, therefore, being rightly handed over to relevant security agencies for thorough investigation to unravel the masterminds of yet another unfortunate scam.
The Board is not averse to public scrutiny and is ready for open public session involving the agencies listed above as well as relevant security agencies where the candidate , parent’s guardian and her legal team will be present.
Another frightening dimension to the unfolding drama is the unwholesome interest of some nefarious elements, who to all intents and purposes, are determined to goad the candidate on this unproductive path as any casual observer would observe with the obviously stage-managed video aired by Ms. Ejikeme. The Board urges these confusionists to have a rethink as their evil machinations would soon come to light.
Again, the Board restates its readiness for genuine scrutiny as this case would not be the first time and might not even be the last of such shenanigans. At the end of the day, the truth would manifest and the Board vindicated.
In the meantime, the management of the Board urges member of the public to examine critically the issue at hand and avoid fake news trafficking.
In the meantime, the management of the Board, after considering the weighty infraction committed by Ms. Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, and in line with it’s established procedures, has withdrawn her 2023 UTME result and also barred her from sitting the Board’s examination for the next three years.
