Alleged Assault: Judge Adjourns Till July 2nd As Seun Kuti Appears In Court For Trial

Less than 24 hours after Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, was released from Police custody, he has appeared at the Magistrates Court, Yaba, on Wednesday, for the continuation of his trial over alleged assault on a Police officer.

Seun was in company of his wife as well as his lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN.

ODUDUWA NEWS reports that the musician left Police facility in Panti on Tuesday night after fulfilling his bail terms.

His trial earlier slated for Tuesday was adjourned to Wednesday following the absence of Justice Adeola Olatubosun of the Chief Magistrates Court in Yaba, Lagos State.

The case adjourned the case till July 2nd on the grouse that the case file should be reported back to Department of Public Prosecution DPP before it could be entertained.

Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun adjourned till July 3 to await legal advice from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on the matter.
