Rescued Oyo Schoolchild Diagnosed With Hole In The Heart After Medical Check

One of the rescued Oyo schoolchildren was found to have a hole in the heart after undergoing medical examinations at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital.

Doctors say the child’s parents had no idea the congenital heart defect existed until the post-rescue health assessment.

While 31 of the 39 rescued pupils have now been discharged and reunited with their families, eight children remain under medical observation to ensure they make a full recovery.

Sometimes, even in the aftermath of tragedy, hidden battles come to light. Wishing every one of these children a complete recovery.
