The Omidan Iyake has concluded their plan to organise a post ramadan tour to the suspended Ado Awaye lake in an effort to relieve the Muslims brethrens of the Ramadan activities, also, the tour is not religious specific, as it’s open to all interested individuals who wish to have a chat with nature.
According to the team, the tour will take place on Saturday, 20th April 2024 with a fee of #5,000 which is to cover Mountain hiking, picnic and lot more.
The EFCC is set to apprehend hotels, schools, and other establishments that dare to demand payment in dollars from their local customers.
The EFCC warns schools, supermarkets, hotels, and others to stop charging in dollars or foreign currencies within the country.
Ola Olukoyede, the EFCC’s Chairman, shared the news on Monday in the most recent issue of the commission’s monthly e-magazine, EFCC Alert.
Olukoyede warned that legal action would be taken against individuals involved in the dollarization of the economy. He stressed that such behavior would be considered unlawful under Nigerian legislation.
“Schools that charge Nigerians in dollar, supermarkets that trade in dollar, estate developers that sell their property in dollar, hotels that are invoicing in dollar, we are coming after you and we have made arrests in that area.
“Yes, if foreigners are coming in and the only means of transacting is their credit card, and dollar, why not, you will get that.
“But document it properly as against selling things within the system, local economy and you will be using dollar as the medium of exchange, it is illegal.
“Our law does not allow for that. And we have also affected some arrests,”
The Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin is ill and not physically fit to rule as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, ODUDUWA NEWS reporting.
According to report, the Otun-Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Abimbola Ajibola, stated this on Tuesday.
Olubadan stool became vacant after the demise of the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, who reigned for two years and died at 81.

“I am his second in command, I’m his lieutenant. He has not called me to say, ‘My Otun, I’m back. So, tell your people. And when are you seeing me?’ They are just forcing him because of their own selfish interest.”
The Federal Government has declared Thursday, April 11, 2024, as additional public holiday to commemorate Eid-El-Fitr.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr Aishetu Ndayako, shared on the ministry’s X account on Tuesday.
The statement said, “The Federal Government has approved Thursday, April 11, 2024 as an additional public holiday to celebrate this year’s Eid -El-Fitr.

Aderounmu Adejumoke was a phenomenal actress, and one of the reasons why she got very famous is because she had a recurring role in the Jennifer’s Diary movie franchise.
Apart from Jennifer’s Diary, Adejumoke also had a sprinkle of roles in a good number of movies, starring beside actresses like Bimbo Ademoye.
Adejumoke also had a role in Toyin Abraham’s Alakada movie, which was a huge success. She played a pivotal role in the movie, which proved just how versatile she was.
It was often an awe-inspiring experience, watching her switch from English to Yoruba in movies, so swiftly that there was no time to process when she did it.
Even though she didn’t often play lead roles, Aderounmu Adejumoke still managed to solidify her place in the movie industry by putting in her best in every performance.

The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Aishetu Ndayako.
The statement read, “The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, 9th and Wednesday, 10th April, 2024 as public holidays to mark Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
“The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, congratulates all Muslim Ummah for the successful completion of the fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
“Tunji-Ojo calls on Muslim Ummmah to imbibe and practise the virtues that entails kindness, love, tolerance, peace, good neighbourliness, compassion as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
“He urged Nigerians to continue in the spirit of unity in order to improve and achieve peace and oneness in the country.
“The minister wishes all Muslim Ummah a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration and prays that the peace, blessings, and favour of Allah be with everyone and our great nation.”
