Oyo Lawmaker, Dele Adeola Congratulates Wale Okediran on his PAWA Appointment

The honourable member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency has joined the good people of Oyo State in extending congratulatory message to an Iseyin-born ace writer, Dr. Wale Okediran on his recent appointment as Secretary-General of Pan African Writers PAWA.

Dele Adeola in his congratulatory message sent to OduduwaNews said, he has no doubt that the recent appointment of Dr. Wale Okediran will add positive value to Nigeria and Africa at large.

“Dr. Okediran, the trained Medical Doctor has carved a niche for himself in writing profession and his landmark achievements particularly in his chosen career have contributed tremendously to the growth of intellectual arena in the entire country and beyond”, Adeola said.

“With his experience and remarkable achievements, The Lawmaker is confident that Dr. Okediran will strive towards achieving the noble objectives and goals of the referred organization,” the statement read further.

Adeola said, the appointment of the ace writer is a pointer that there is a reward in consistency and hardworking which are the hallmark of success.

Following the death of the founding Secretary-General of PAWA, Professor Atukwei Okai, the position had remained vacant for about two years before the eventual appointment of Wale Okediran.

Okediran had been a one-time President of Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) and a member of Nigeria’s Federal House of Representatives prior to his recent appointment.
