Oyo 2027: Folarin Tells Adelabu, Other APC Aggrieved Members to Close Ranks or Face Defeat

Senator Teslim Folarin has called on Bayo Adelabu and other aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State to unite behind the party’s governorship candidate ahead of the 2027 election.

Folarin said disagreements over the party’s selection process should not prevent members from supporting the candidate who has emerged, stressing that unity remains crucial to the APC’s chances of reclaiming power in the state.

According to the former Senate Leader, party members may have legitimate concerns about how the candidate emerged, but the priority should now be to work together for the party’s collective interest.

“Adelabu and other aggrieved members will work for the APC governorship candidate of Oyo State. Anyone can have issues about the process, but the candidate has emerged. If we don’t work together, we are all going to political oblivion,” Folarin said.

His remarks come amid efforts to consolidate the APC’s ranks ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State, where internal cohesion could play a significant role in determining the party’s electoral prospects.

Folarin’s message underscores the challenge facing the opposition party as it seeks to manage post-selection grievances, bring dissatisfied stakeholders on board and present a united front against the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
