The annual Osun Osogbo Festival attendees, tourists, and other participants have all been advised not to drink from the Osun River because of contamination, according to the Osun State government.
The warning was given in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Osogbo by the commissioner for health, Rafiu Isamotu.
An annual cultural festival takes place in Osun State called the Osun Osogbo Festival.
