Olubadan Did Not Die Of COVID-19 In UCH, Spokesman Debunks Rumour

The Spokesman of the of Olubadan of Ibadan, Mr Adeola Oloko has debunked the rumor going round that the late King of Ibadanlan, Kabiyesi Saliu Adetunji, the Aje Ogunguniso 1 died as a result of Covid 19.

ODUDUWA NEWS who has been monitoring proceedings from Ibadan through BBC Yoruba learnt that the monarch has been indisposed for sometime and was rushed to a private hospital shortly after Christmas but his condition deteriorated yesterday night and was rushed to the UCH around 9pm where he was confirmed dead at about 1am today.

“You can see how his corpse was brought back to the palace , Do you think an hospital like the University College hospital would release his corpse not to even talk of bringing his corpse back to the palace.

“Oba Saliu Adetunji ascended the throne of Olubadan on the 4th of March 2017 and died this morning at the ripe age of 93years. He was a music promoter who discovered many musician including King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal be his ascension to the throne of Olubadan”.

Meanwhile, Senator Lekan Balogun would automatically be installed as the Olubadan of Ibadan according to the chronological order of Olubadan kingship.
