Olórò Compound (Agbo’le Olórò Oja’gbo) Elects Former FIBSU National President, Dr Oluwatunmise Adeagbo as Mogaji

The Oloro Compound of Oja’gbo area of Ibadanland has elected Dr. Oluwatunmise Adeagbo, a former National President of the Federation of Ibadan Students’ Union as the Mogaji of the Compound.

The process which began many months ago started having shape on January 1st 2026 when the members of the 8 families that made up the compound came together to unanimously elect Dr Oluwatunmise Adeagbo from the Adisa Family Lineage as the new Mogaji for the compound. This process was concluded at the family level in a meeting conducted Sunday 22nd of February 2026 with about 35 members across the 8 families present.

According to the Chairman of Olórò Compound Descendants’ Forum (OCDF), Pastor Olusegun Adeagbo, the Olórò Compound of Oja’gbo area of Ibadanland has at least 8 ancestral families namely; Orodele family, Adisa family, Oke family, Oduola family, Edun family, Oni family, Fadaunsi family and Bamgbegbin family all consented to the nomination and approval of Dr. Oluwatunmise Adeagbo from Adisa Family Lineage as the Mogaji – Elect of the compound.

While speaking to news men, the secretary of the family, Mr Nafiu Falilu said that the Sunday meeting of February 22nd was for the 8 representatives from all the families to sign a letter and formally present the Mogaji- Elect to the Olubadan palace for final approval, royal blessings and installation.

The Mogaji – Elect, who is a Medical Doctor, Dr Oluwatunmise Adeagbo graduated from the prestigious University of Lagos where he bagged a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Degree. He also holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with Specialization in Health System Strengthening and Policy Management from the College of Medicine of the University of Ibadan, amongst other professionals degrees. He is currently the Vice President of the Royal Group (TRG), which is a club under the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
Dr Oluwatunmise Adeagbo currently works with the Oyo State Ministry of Health.

In his remarks, the Olórò Compound Mogaji Elect, Dr Oluwatunmise Adeagbo appreciates the heads of all families and reiterates his commitment to the development of the compound and the youths of the compound, and in commemorating the lent fasting and Ramadan, he distributed food stuff items to the compound and by extension the Oloro community of Oja’gbo area of Ibadan.
