The Northern Youth Frontiers (NYF), a coalition of youth groups across the 19 Northern states, has reaffirmed its support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, commending the large turnout at the presidential campaign rally in Kaduna.
The coalition also praised Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, for his leadership and grassroots mobilisation, which it said contributed to the success of the rally.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the Coordinator of Northwest Northern Youth Frontiers, Saminu Turaki, the group described the turnout as a demonstration of continued support for Tinubu’s leadership and vision in Northern Nigeria.
Turaki congratulated the President on the rally and commended traditional rulers, community leaders and residents for their participation. He also acknowledged the role of grassroots mobilisation in bringing supporters together for the political gathering.
The coalition’s declaration comes as political groups begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections. However, the statement represents the position of the coalition and does not independently establish the level of support for the President across Northern Nigeria.
