Naira Swap: Protest Rocks Ibadan, APC Alleges Makinde Plotting Against Tinubu’s Campaign Visit

Residents are currently protesting peacefully against Old Naira Note swap deadline right now at Eleyele, Ibadan.

People trooped out today to express their grievances on the Naira swap deadline which Central Bank of Nigeria CBN had maintained since yesterday that there would be no going back on the February 10th deadline.

Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu said by the party leaders to have planned his State campaign in Ibadan tommorrow before the latest development.

Some APC stalwarts in the State have alleged that the protest which lately rocked the state was a plot by the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde to disrupt the planned campaign visit.

According to the former Deputy National Youth Leader of the APC, Afeez Bolaji Repete, he alleged that the protest was orchestrated by some groups of people in the Oyo State PDP to prevent Tinubu’s visitation to the state. He also alleged that Makinde had plotted to to disrupt the planned campaign scheduled to hold tommorrow.
