
There was palpable tension along the Isheri-Igando area of Lagos Stare on Friday as protesters barricaded the road over the rejection of old naira notes by commercial transport workers.
The protest, which started in Igando in the early hours of Friday and was later put to an end by policemen and other security operatives from Igando PYO Peshawar Division.

Another protest however erupted at the Oko Filling end of the road, as the protesters set bonfire on the road, preventing commercial bus drivers from working.
Soldiers and Policemen have been mobilized to various places in Lagos to maintain laws and order.
