Mob Set Ablaze Two Suspected Okada Thieves In Ibadan

ODUDUWA NEWS has gathered that two suspected thieves were set ablaze by angry mob around Bodija-Bashorun in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, on Wednesday, for allegedly snatching a motorcycle.

The incident was said to have occurred this morning, as some enraged mob swooped on the suspected thieves almost along Bashorun to General Gas, Akobo axis where they were lynched.

It was learnt that the two people who snatched Okada from a commercial rider under gun point were trying to escape when the commercial riders mobilized themselves and chased them before they were later apprehended.

The thieves who met their waterloo were beaten and stripped naked by angry youths before petrol was poured on them and burnt to death.

As at the time of filing this report, ODUDUWA NEWS has reached out to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Oyo State Police Command, Mr Adewale Osifeso, but yet to respond to calls.
