The Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has paid a working visit to College of Education, Lanlate in Ibarapa Local Government of Oyo State. In the visit, Makinde promised to donate the sum One Hundred Million Naira as a kick off grant to start infrastructural development in the institution.
This was contained in a statement released via the Gov’s Facebook account as read in part:
“Today, we paid a working visit to the College of Education, Lanlate, in Ibarapa East Local Govt Area, to assess the situation of things at the institution and meet with stakeholders led by the Chairman of the School’s Governing Council, Group Captain (Dr) Bisi Ojebola (retd.).
“I assured all stakeholders present that the issues raised at the meeting including infrastructure development and staff welfare would be addressed. I also urged striking staff to resume work and stated that N100 million for infrastructural development would be released to the school”.
