Family Cries Out For Help As Police Confirms Abduction Of JCI Ibadan President

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of Ibukun Otesile, the President of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ibadan Elite. She was kidnapped on Thursday night in front of her residence in the General Gas area of Akobo, Ibadan.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, the incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. and officers have begun investigations to track down the perpetrators and secure her release. Otesile, a mother of two and daughter of Pastor Olalekan Babatunde of Jesus Is King Ministries, was reportedly taken by gunmen who waylaid her at the gate of her home.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), family members, and community groups have raised alarms and called for urgent intervention from security agencies. They appealed to the police and other operatives to ensure her safe and speedy rescue.

As of the time of filing this report, no group has claimed responsibility for the abduction, and no ransom demand has been made public. Police authorities assure the public that efforts are ongoing to bring the situation under control.
