The former Commissioner for Works and Transport in Oyo State, Prof. Abd-Rahman Raphael Afonja has today joined other Muslim faithfuls in Ogbomosho to pray at Eid praying ground.
Prof. Afonja while speaking today at the Praying Ground enjoined Muslims to be steadfast and ensure that they sustain the lessons learnt during the Ramadan period.
This was contained in a statement personally signed by him and sent to ODUDUWA NEWS as read in part:
“I join our beloved Muslim brothers and sisters in solemnly thanking God Almighty for completing the month-long spiritual exercise of fasting.
“As we commemorate the end of this oly month with a feast, I encourage us to consider the substance of the holy month, which was decreed by none other than God in His boundless mercy – that we may be virtuous.
“May Ramadan bring us all peace, blessings, and love, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
