2023: We Will Take Critical Decisions When Tinubu Returns – Akeredolu

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has bared his minds on some issues around his government, national polity and his trip to London to visit the APC national leader, Ahmed Tinubu.

He spoke in an interview with Rueben Abati on Arise TV.

These are some of the highlights of Akeredolu’s interview with Reuben Abati.

On Southern Governors’ Forum’s push for a Southerner to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari:

“Our stance is for equity and justice; our focus is not to field a presidential candidate”

VAT

It is unconstitutional for the FG to share the VAT. The move by the FIRS to go to the NASS means we’re on course and that something was wrong from the beginning.

It’s constitutional amendment they are pursuing and I can bet you,it’s dead on arrival because more states will support us to kill such amendment in the State Assemblies.

Anti-Open Grazing

Anti-Open Grazing Law not targeted at anyone. Is the position of the Katsina Governor, who also a Fulani by tribe also targeted at his own people? Why are people not talking about that? Those who can’t live peacefully amongst our people must get out.

Supreme Court and Buni’s continued stay in office.

The verdict of 4/3 meant I escaped by the whiskers. From the onset, I told the party the case was a long dagger drawn in the heart of the APC.

On Buni, I have said it privately and I’m not inclined to continue to make it a media issue but I must say this.

i have very strong reservations about the legality or otherwise of his position. I can say this because I bore the brunt, I was at the centre of it all.

Visit to Tinubu in London and 2023

I’m an APC person and I have said it over and over that I won’t leave APC.

Once I’m through here, I’m going back to my chambers where I find more comfort.

So whoever the APC brings, I will support. For the National Leader, we’re waiting for him to come so that critical decisions could be taken.

He is our leader in the South, he is what we can call our Capon.

Delayed cabinet

Expect more Commissioners by early next month; I may not have as many as I had in my first term because of the state of our finances.

Bad Credit Shouldn’t Affect Health Insurance, Experts Say

Good web design has visual weight, is optimized for various devices, and has content that is prioritized for the medium. The most important elements of a web page should have more visual weight to “naturally attract” a visitor’s attention.

Good design is making something intelligible and memorable. Great design is making something memorable and meaningful.

Dieter Rams

Most users search for something interesting (or useful) and clickable; as soon as some promising candidates are found, users click. If the new page doesn’t meet users’ expectations, the back button is clicked and the search process is continued.

A good website should be easy to navigate

Not all websites are made equal. Some websites are simple, logical, and easy to use. Others are a messy hodgepodge of pages and links.

How are innovations in robotics changing the way we perceive the world?

Without website navigation, your visitors can’t figure out how to find your blog, your email signup page, your product listings, pricing, contact information, or help docs.

Quick and easy access to the content they’re after is more important for your website users than a… visually-stunning design.

Creating visual rhythms in your layouts

In design, rhythm is created by simply repeating elements in predictable patterns. This repetition is a natural thing that occurs everywhere in our world. As people, we are driven everyday by predictable, timed events.

Why does Bluetooth use lossy rather than lossless compression

One of the best ways to use repetition and rhythm in web design is in the site’s navigation menu. A consistent, easy-to-follow pattern—in color, layout, etc. Gives users an intuitive roadmap to everything you want to share on your site.

Elements that can help website visual composition

Nobody enjoys looking at an ugly web page. Garish colors, cluttered images and distracting animation can all turn customers “off” and send them shopping “somewhere else”. Basic composition rules to create more effective:

  • Direct the Eye With Leading Lines
  • Balance Out Your Elements
  • Use Elements That Complement Each Other
  • Be clear about your “focal points” and where you place them

Diving into UX and UI design

UX and UI: Two terms that are often used interchangeably, but actually mean very different things. So what exactly is the difference?

Styles come and go. Good design is a language, not a style.

Massimo Vignelli

UX design refers to the term “user experience design”, while UI stands for “user interface design. Both elements are crucial to a product and work closely together. But despite their relationship, the roles themselves are quite different.

Breaking down the barriers

Design is not the end-all solution to all of the worlds problems — but with the right thinking and application, it can definitely be a good beginning to start tackling them.

Fani-Kayode’s Defection: Despite All My Push For APC, I’m Yet to Get Recognition From Abuja, Joe Igbokwe Laments

The Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state on Drainage and Water Resources, Chief Joe Igbokwe on Thursday lamented on what he described as the poor treatment meted out to some APC members.

In series of reactions, following the defection of a former aviation minister and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Femi Fani Kayode. Mr. Igbokwe, in his Facebook post, lamented that “despite all my push for APC; Abuja has not given me a phone call, talk-less of inviting me for a coffee with C in C”.

He went further to state that “here is a political charlatan being given a red carpet in the seat of power, Abuja. Mr. Igbokwe’s outburst on Facebook was based on the special treatment given to Chief Femi Fani Kayode when many party faithful who have toiled for the party is yet to be recognized or given the attention they deserve.

Defection: Popular Islamic Cleric, Gumi Knocks Fani-Kayode, Calls Him ‘Judas Of Oduduwa’

Popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has described Femi Fani-Kayode as the ‘Judas of Oduduwa’

following his defection from the opposition party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC)

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Gumi wrote:

“I have for long, neglected the rantings of the Judas of Oduduwa attacking me knowing fully well that he is fake and a traitor.

“Time has now caught up with him and thanks to Allah, all his vituperations are cast in the dustbin of merciless history.

“It is him now, one wonders which of the seven circles of hell this duper will settle if he doesn’t repent.”

Recall that the Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation under President Olusegun Obasanjo, berated those fronting for bandits and terrorists in the country. Though he never mentioned names but his rhetorics suggested he was referring to Sheikh Gumi.
On joining APC, Fani-Kayode, however, said that he was moved by Holy Spirit to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, pointing out that he was a founding member of the ruling party.
