Staff unions in three Ondo State-owned universities have suspended their month-long industrial action following intervention by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The unions, comprising SSANU, NASU and the National Association of Academic Technologists, directed members at Adekunle Ajasin University, Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology and the University of Medical Sciences to resume duties on Tuesday, September 29.
The strike, which began on September 2, was triggered by issues including unpaid allowances, implementation of agreed wage structures and staff welfare concerns.
The unions, however, urged the institutions to address outstanding non-financial aspects of the Federal Government-unions agreement.
