“It was sad to hear the news of the death of my Uncle, Barr. Bolaji Agoro of Agoro Compound, Modeke, Igboho. Saturday, 17th July, 2021 and in fact, this period, is a black moment for all of us from the compound, who grew up to know the deceased in person.
The devastating news came to me as a shock, and his death as left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill by anyone. Barr. Bolaji Agoro was an amiable person, an Omoluabi who never missed an opportunity to make an impact on others. He lived a life of purpose and service of his family, his immediate Community and humanity. He is no longer with us in body and soul, but his good work, especially to his family, his friends, his Community members and all those who came across him, will continue to speak for him, and his memory will remain in our hearts for ever.
On behalf of myself and the good people of Oorelope Local Government, I identify with the family of the deceased and pray that the Almighty Allah will give the family the fortitude to bear the loss, and grant Barr. Bolaji Aljana Firdaous.”

We see it as a point of duty to join our voice with other voices in celebrating our leader, a father, mentor, one who we can refer to as the father of Modern CCII, Chief Yemi Soladoye, a two term President-General of Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, the highest Indigenous & socio-cultural group in Ibadan comprising of over 260 clubs.
It’s important we state this for public consumption that Chief Yemi Soladoye has written his name in the good side of history, and history will be kind to him, while in office, he built on the work of his predecessors and projected the image of Ibadan Land in international space.
Also, at IPYF, we appreciate the immediate past PG for giving the youths of Ibadan the opportunity to have a voice, by recognizing and approving the establishment of the youth wing of CCII, this is one of the many things that will live after you, as the youth forum will consolidate on your good work for the betterment of Ibadan land.
In the remark of the Coordinator of Ibadan Prime Youths Forum (IPYF), Dr. Oluwatunmise Adeagbo he said “Chief Yemi Soladoye is an achiever, a visionary leader, and a master planner, this is evident in the numerous successes of his administration, it should be on record that it was the Chief Yemi Soladoye that initiated the youth wing of CCII and subsequently sought the approval of CCII congress on the 5th of February 2021 which established the conception of the umbrella body of all youths of Ibadanland – Ibadan Prime Youths Forum, and he placed it directly under CCII as its youth wing. This is to show his love and Interest towards youth Inclusiveness in the affairs of Ibadan.”
