The State Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has paid homage to the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo in his Ake Palace yesterday.
While paying the homage, the governor reassured the royal father of the commitment of his administration to democracy and transparency, even beyond the state tier of government, and called for his respected prayers for hus Administration in the pursuit of his administration agenda.
Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Department of State Service (DSS) to produce the 12 aides of Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, who have been in their custody since the second of July, 2021.
The aides to Igboho who were arrested at his residence are expected to be in court on Thursday, 29th July ad their case is expected to proceed regardless of the annual court vacation slated to begin on the 26th of July.
The suspects had earlier sued the DSS before the Federal High Court Abuja, on grounds that their fundamental human rights had been infringed.
They also claimed that their arrest and subsequent detention were unlawful.
Earlier, Igbohos aides had sought an order of the court, through their counsel, Pelumi Olajenbasi, compelling the DSS to produce them before the court and to show why they shouldn’t be granted bail in accordance with the provision of section 32 of the criminal justice act 2015.
Their counsel told the court that his clients have remained underground for the past 20 days, and were denied freedom.
He added that they were Nigerian citizens and have inherent rights, just like others, and the world is watching how the judiciary, would vitalize the consciousness of Nigerians.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his colleagues in the Progressive Governors Forum today paid traditional sallah homage to President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.

ODUDUWA NEWS has gathered that a foremost Pro-Oduduwa Republic agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, is expected to be arraigned for immigration-related offenses in Benin Republic tomorrow.o
ODUDUWA NEWS had earlier reported how Igboho was arrested on Monday night in Cadjèhoun Airport, Cotonou with a Beninese passport while trying to flee to Germany.
It was gathered that the Yoruba nation activist might be arraigned on Thursday for an immigration offense bordering on illegally owning the country’s passport.
He added that Igboho’s lawyers are already in the West African country in preparation for the court case.
“Igboho may be arraigned for passport-related offenses in Benin Republic tomorrow. His Nigerian lawyers are here already. Yoruba leaders in the Benin Republic have been supportive as well,” the source said.
Meanwhile, ODUDUWA NEWS gathered that the Nigerian government, through its Ambassador to Benin Republic, Tukur Buratai, is bent on extraditing Igboho to Nigeria.
It was learned that the former Chief of Army Staff wrote two letters to the government of the West African country and insisted on the arrest and extradition of Igboho.
Buratai had in the letters described the activist as a terrorist and murderer.
“Nigeria had written two letters to the West African state, describing Igboho as a terrorist and murderer. The first letter was written on July 7th. A second letter describing his bodily features was passed on to Benin Republic yesterday,” a security source told SaharaReporters.
The Department of State Services (DSS) had on July 1 raided the residence of Igboho in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Igboho had planned a ”Yoruba nation Rally” in Lagos two days before the raid.
The DSS raided the residence, killed two people and arrested 12 aides but Igboho escaped.
The agency alleged that Igboho was stockpiling weapons, and subsequently declared him wanted. The agitator has been on the run since the raid.

Going further, Ooni Ogunwusi, the Co-chairman, National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria(NCTRN) urged Muslims to continue to be tolerant of their neighbours who are faithfuls of other religions.
“We descendants of Oduduwa are known for peace and I want our people to sustain this. Records of security itches in some part Nigeria at large is often aggravated by broken relationship and unresolved issues which should be looked into.
“Let us be our brothers’ keepers like our founding fathers were, we are socially related no matter where we come from and I want us all to share love even beyond we share our ram meat to our neighbours.
“On this note, I wish to congratulate all Muslims once again and I wish you all a happy celebration.

The Founder of Baby Blue Angels Foundation, Ambassador Ramata Agberemi Dabo (RAD) has called on all Muslims faithfuls in Akinyele/Lagelu Constituency and beyond to seize the opportunity of this year Eid-el-Kabir period to replicate the uncommon act of Anabi Ibrahim who paid the supreme price for our being by sacrificing for our creator.
Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo showed the love of this season by distributing nothing less than three-hundred bags of rice, drinks, and other food items to political and religious leaders and followers across Akinyele, Lagelu and other parts of Oyo State.
According to Ramata Agberemi Dabo, the items were distributed to her constituents so as to ensure that no Muslim faithfuls left behind in celebrating the uncommon love, sacrifice, and perseverance taught us by the commemoration of today as Eidel-Kabir.
Hon. Ramata in her message to Nigerians and Oyo State Muslim faithfuls in particular through her media aide urged them to put the fear of Almighty Allah in whatever they do and also to love one another so as to have a new Nigeria of our dream.
Hon. Ramata finally called on the good people of the pacesetter State in particular and Nigeria in general to use this year’s Eid-el-Kabir to pray earnestly to Almighty Allah for love, peace, harmony, stability, and oneness of our country and the State.

I heartily use this medium to wish the Muslim faithfuls of my local government, Oyo State and Nigeria at large a blessed and happy Eid-el-Kabir festival.
Truly, times are tough but we are a tough people too. Therefore, I have no doubt that we shall overcome our present economic and security setback sooner than anticipated, if we all commit to the ideals of nation building.
I enjoin every one of us to contribute in strengthening the bond of unity and oneness that exists among us. This, I believe, will spur us to avoid negative tendencies that could derail our efforts at ensuring that the dividends of democracy trickled down to the people at the grassroot.

The Convener Oye Sèyí Movement, Hon. Abiodun Oni, has rejoiced with Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-kabir festival.
Hon. Abiodun Oni the Convener Òyẹ Sèyí Movement, a socio political movement has urged the people of Igbeti, Olorunsogo Local Government to get involve and register for their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ahead of the 2023 general election.
Abiodun Oni made the call in his Eid el-Kabir Sallah message to the people of Igbeti at his country home in Olosun area, Oke General Igbeti.
Hon. Abiodun Oni, who is also the Chairman Oyo State Minerals Development Agency, said the PVC is the only power the electorate have to vote for candidates of their choice.
“We will be failing in our duties if we don’t tell you the power you have as eligible voters. You have enormous electoral power to elect any candidate of your choice but you can only do this if you have your PVC. Without it, one would not be able to exercise the due constitutional responsibility of casting vote in the nation’s electoral process’’, he said.
The Convener Oye Sèyí Movement urged those who have not registered to take advantage of the ongoing online Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) to register.
He further urged the people of Igbeti and Oyo State to keep praying and supporting the Seyi Makinde led government, as his administration reflect the hopes and aspirations of the people.
Abiodun Oni appealed to Nigerians to continue to uphold the noble virtues of peace, unity and love for one another, irrespective of religion, ethnic or political affiliations.
Ibadan Prime Youth Forum (IPYF) Felicitate with Muslims (especially Muslim youths of Ibadanland) on this year Eid-Ei Kabir festival, and admonish them to emulate the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim who symbolizes love and patriotism.
Today, as we celebrate with our Muslim friends and Ibadan Youth, it’s important we remind us of the teachings that come with this period, and that’s total Submission to the will of Almighty Allah, and also living together in peace, love and looking after each other. On this note, we want to implore Ibadan Youths, Ibadan Indigenes and Muslims in the State to continue to extend helping hands to people beyond the festive period as this is the only way we can build a state free from insecurity or external threat.
‘Let the strong help the weak, that both life will be preserve’. This is one of our guiding principles at IPYF. This mantra emphasizes the importance of helping the less privileged or disadvantaged people by the successful ones for overall human development.
We can only build a better society when people are happy while their basic needs at met, the rich youths should not see the poor one’s as a ‘lazy’ people. In our different capacities, let’s do well by assisting the less privilege towards their personal development and of the overall development of Ibadanland as demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) during his lifetime.
