The Ondo State Government Hospitals Management Board has commenced recruitment of Medical Doctors and Nurses into the state hospitals
The notice of the recruitment was made available to Oduduwa News today by one of the aides of the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Ayedatiwa.
Individual applicants have been asked to apply in person to the Hospitals’ Management Board Complex with immediate effect.

Dignitaries from across the world joined the ‘Ladipo family for the islamic burial rite (Janazah) of their departed Patriarch, the Alaba of Abanla, His Royal Highness, Oba Tiamiyu Labiyi Ladipo who joined his ancestors on Tuesday, 6th August 2024.
Late Oba Tiamiyu Ladipo was the father of the most celebrated Senior Police Officer of Ibadan origin, AIG Fatai Oladipupo Rtd.
The Janazah prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland Sheikh Abbdul-Ganniy Abubabar Agbotomokekere.
In his sermon , Dr. Barihi Adetunji the Mufassir of Ibadanland charged the people to always remember Allah in their daily activities, as all soul will return to their creator one-day to give account of how they spend their life while on earth.
Prince Dotun Oladipupo & Mr Fatai Oladipupo, a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police who spoke to journalist on behalf of the family described their father as a champion of community development who until his last breath was committed to the development of his community and ensuring that whoever come close to him will be a memory to hold on to forever.
The late monarch was described by other relatives as someone who go extra miles to meet the needs of extended family member, and said that he will be greatly missed.

The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, OYOSUBEB, has fixed Wednesday, August 14 to Friday, August 23, 2024, for interview dates for applicants.
Recall that the Board recently announced the result of teachers, who sat for its Computer-Based Tests in Ibadan.
In a statement by the Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran on Wednesday, the interview sessions will take place at the Board’s headquarters at Agodi, Ibadan.
Dr. Adeniran noted that 45, 827 sat for the CBT examination, while only 8,197, met the 50% cut-off mark.
In the statement, Dr. Adeniran said the interview sessions, will be headed by himself and relevant stakeholders from different agencies.
Dr. Adeniran gave the interview schedules as follows:
Wednesday l, August 14, 2024: Egbeda, and Atisbo local government areas.
Thursday, August 15, 2024: Akinyele, Afijio, and Ibarapa central.
Friday, August 16, 2024: Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, Ibarapa East, Ibarapa North, Lagelu, and Iwajowa.
Monday, August 19, 2024: Ido and Ibadan South West Local Government Areas.
Tuesday, August 20, 2024: Saki West, Saki East, Irepo, Oriire, Olorunsogo, Orelope, Ogbomoso North, and Ogbomoso South local government areas.
Wednesday, August 21, 2024: Atiba, Oyo East, Oyo West, Surulere, and Ogo-Oluwa local government areas.
Thursday, August 22, 2024: Ibadan South-East, Ibadan North-East, Ibadan North-West.

Dr. Adeniran urged all candidates to come with print-outs of their application slip, CBT result slip, and interview schedule slip.
The OYOSUBEB Boss said they also need to bring relevant credentials, they uploaded on the job portal, such as evidence of local government of origin, local government of residency, Date of birth certificate, NIN certificate, original Certificates from their institutions, original NYSC certificate (for graduates), change of name for married women and other relevant documents.
The Chairman noted that the scheduled time is 9 a.m. each day.
He maintained that the Board will uphold its role in implementing a better basic education system in the state.
Dr. Adeniran, who wished the applicants a safe trip to the Board’s headuarters, urged them to comport themselves during the interview sessions.
He further advised all candidates to log into their portal to ascertain their scheduled dates of interview.
At least four persons have died from food poisoning while another one died from gastroenteritis in Ilorin the Kwara State capital.
The four victims who were residents of the Eruda Community in Ilorin Kwara State capital died after consuming cassava flour, a local delicacy popularly called Amala lafun.
The state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina El-Imam confirmed the sad incidents Tuesday evening, saying the government has placed the healthcare on “Outbreak Response Mode’ after confirmation of four deaths in Eruda community, as a result of food poisoning from ‘amala ‘ and one death from gastroenteritis.
She noted that on getting to the affected community, the claim was that there was an instance of food poisoning where a 70 year old woman fell ill and died after consuming Amala.
Unfortunately, her son and grandkids also consumed the same food, fell ill and died. They were taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, where they passed away.
El-Imam further maintained that the Amala made from Lafun could have been responsible for their death.
She maintained that the people who consumed yam flour without Lafun were fine, however those who consumed the mixture of both Lafun and Amala mixture fell ill and eventually some of them died.
The commissioner however disclosed that several others are making good recovery in their hospitals where they are receiving treatment.
El-Imam stated that this is a case of chemical food poisoning, potentially due to under processed cassava used in the production of Lafun.
The Health Commissioner also said there are another four cases recovering at the moment, in addition to the four that were unfortunately lost.
Similarly, the commissioner hinted that an Initial Rapid Diagnostic Test was conducted on the suspected case of Cholera, which turned out to be Gastroenteritis.
She explained that one death was recorded at Osin Gada, in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State as a result of Gastroenteritis.
El-Imam disclosed that the deceased is the index case who demonstrated this illness before it spread to others.
According to her, the diseases was characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, and general abdominal pain among the patients.
She pointed out that personal and environmental hygiene of the area was not optimal, adding that all efforts have been done to ensure the disease is contained to the currently treated patients.
The Oyo State Post Primary School Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, has officially released the computer-based tests results, saying about 9,000 candidates passed.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Commission, Pastor Akinade Alamu, in a statement which was made available to the journalists on Tuesday in Ibadan.
In the statement, Pastor Alamu said the Commission has set minimum cut-off marks for qualification to the next stage in the recruitment exercise.
He said the cut-off mark in the exercise, is 50%.
The Chairman said the 9,000 candidates will go through interview sessions within one week, starting from August 14, 2024.
Pastor Alamu said the interview panels, headed by both serving and retired Permanent secretaries, will be split into ten, with 5 members each.
He further advised all candidates to log into their portal, as their results have been posted there already.
Reiterating the Commission’s commitment to enhancing educational services in the State, Pastor Alamu said the interview for candidates of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography is scheduled to hold on August 14, 2024.
Other schedules are: August 15, 2024: English, Physics, Health Education, Technical Drawing, Music and French.
August 16. 2024: Basic Science, Home Economics, Computer science.
August 19, 2024: Commerce, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, Literature in English and Guidance and Counseling.
August 20, 2024: Social studies, Business studies, and food and nutrition.
August 21, 2024: Economics, Government, Finance and Account, Fine Arts, and History.
August 22, 2024: Agricultural science, Yoruba and Arabic.
He urged all candidates to come with their credentials, local government of origin, Date of birth certificate and other relevant documents.
The Chairman, who wished them the best, thanked them for their comportment during the cbt examination, urging them to replicate the same during the interview.
The Oyo State Post Primary School Teaching Service Commission TESCOM has finally released the results of the Computer Based Test held for the intending teachers across Oyo State.
The CBT results were released earlier today as candidates are hereby advised to log into their dashboard to check results.

A pro-Tinubu Group, Concerned Youth Alliance For Tinubu COYAT has condemned proposed Town Hall meeting by the Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jemila Bio-Ibrahim at a time the country is faced with nationwide protest by Nigerian youths.

Soyinka said, “I set my alarm clock for this morning to ensure that I did not miss President Bola Tinubu’s impatiently awaited address to the nation on the current unrest across the nation.
“His outline of government’s remedial action since inception, aimed at warding off just such an outbreak, will undoubtedly receive expert and sustained attention both for effectiveness and in content analysis. My primary concern, quite predictably, is the continuing deterioration of the state’s seizure of protest management, an area in which the presidential address fell conspicuously short.
“Such short-changing of civic deserving, regrettably, goes to arm the security forces in the exercise of impunity and condemns the nation to a seemingly unbreakable cycle of resentment and reprisals.
“Live bullets as state response to civic protest – that becomes the core issue. Even tear gas remains questionable in most circumstances, certainly an abuse in situations of clearly peaceful protest. Hunger marches constitute a universal S.O.S, not peculiar to the Nigerian nation. They belong indeed in a class of their own, never mind the collateral claims emblazoned on posters.
“They serve as summons to governance that a breaking point has been reached and thus, a testing ground for governance awareness of public desperation. The tragic response to the ongoing hunger marches in parts of the nation, and for which notice was served, constitutes a retrogression that takes the nation even further back than the deadly culmination of the watershed ENDSARS protests.
“It evokes pre-independence – that is, colonial – acts of disdain, a passage that induced the late stage pioneer Hubert Ogunde’s folk opera BREAD AND BULLETS, earning that nationalist serial persecution and proscription by the colonial government.”
Soyinka noted that the “nation’s security agencies cannot pretend unawareness of alternative models for emulation, civilized advances in security intervention”.
He said, “Need we recall the nationwide 2022/23 editions of what is generally known as the YELLOW VEST movement in France? Perhaps it is time to make such scenarios compulsory viewing in policing curriculum. In all of the coverage that I watched, I did not catch one single instance of a gun leveled at protesters, much less fired at them even during direct physical confrontations.
“The serving of bullets where bread is pleaded is ominous retrogression, and we know what that eventually proves – a prelude to far more desperate upheavals, not excluding revolutions.
“The time is long overdue, surely, to abandon, permanently, the anachronistic resort to lethal means by the security agencies of governance. No nation is so under-developed, materially impoverished, or simply internally insecure as to lack the will to set an example. All it takes is to recall its own history, then exercise the will to commence a lasting transformation, inserting a break in the chain of lethal responses against civic society.
“Today’s marchers may wish to consider adopting the key songs of Hubert Ogunde’s BREAD AND BULLETS, if only to inculcate a sense of shame in the continuing failure to transcend the lure of colonial inheritance where we all were at the receiving end. One way or the othetinubu’svicious cycle must be broken.”
