He got married to a Nollywood Actress by name Joke Silva.

When asked why his wife still retain her father’s name instead of his, he responded:

It is as simple as that. People now begin to say what they like. They have even written that we are separated and all sort of stuff. When she is working, she is Joke Silva but she is Mrs. Joke Jacobs at home.”

JJC Skillz took to his official instagram page to announce the separation from Funke Akindele. Read the statement Below:

Dear Friends and family I need to let you know
that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted we shared a lot of things together and have created 2 beautiful children. The last two years have been extremely difficult for us. I know I have tried my best to fix things but I believe it is beyond repair now.

3 months ago and at Funkes insistence I moved out of the house and apart from AMVCA have not been able to get Funke to sit down in an amicable manner to discuss the future of our relationship. I’m making this announcement so that the public is clear that we both are pursuing separate lives. We still have issues that need to be addressed such as the custody and wellbeing of our children which is paramount as well as business interests which need to be disentangled but I
have no doubt that these will be resolved one way or the other.

Bimbo, Daddy Has Passed On…

“This was the message I stumbled on waking up at exactly 3am to peruse my WhatsApp page.. It was a message sent in to me by Orlando Julius beautiful and supportive wife Lady Latoya.

“Orlando Julius, a native of Ijebu Ijesha, succumbed to the cold hands of death and breathed his last few hours ago at the age of 79.

“We shall miss one of Nigeria’s fathers of Afro/Highlife Music , a gentleman and a fine Saxophonist.

“May daddy Orlando Julius soul journey well . To the entire Ekemode family may God give you the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.

“Bimbo Esho.”

Although the ‘Jagua Nana’ singer had been slowed down by age some years before his death, his rich bank of songs continued to define his essence as a great multi-talented musician.

His big role in the industry got highlighted last year, when many stakeholders gathered in Ilesa, Osun State, to celebrate his 60 years on stage.

Orlando Julius related well with musicians of different countries and ages, as he was able to court even younger artistes that include Beautiful Nubia and Edaoto, at whose shows he occasionally performed.

I am From Iseyin —Multiple Grammy Award Winner, Angelique Kidjo Reveals

Legendary musician Angelique Kidjo has traced her root to Iseyin, Oyo State, Nigeria

She disclosed this while on a live-radio-interview programme on Smooth FM in Lagos state.

Angelique stated that she hails from Iseyin, a town in Oyo state, Nigeria, according to what her mother told her.

Born in Ouidah, Benin Republic, the 61-year-old veteran singer added that she has a lot of relatives in Nigeria even though she doesn’t visit them often.

“My Mum told me that I am from Iseyin, because when my grandfather’s great great great great father came back from Brazil, they found their roots in Iseyin.

“From my mother’s side, we have always been from Nigeria, so we have families in Abeokuta. Ibadan, Lagos, everywhere, I have cousins I haven’t seen a million years that I miss a lot”, she added.

Angelique added that she has a busy schedule that keeps her away from her roots and family, that even her 29-year-old daughter, Naima, had to complain about it.

“I have a hectic life, my own daughter just told me on the phone yesterday ‘okay, when are you coming back home’, and I said not before November… and she said ‘don’t forget you have a daughter though,’” she said.

On her love for the continent of Africa, she established she was not just interested about singing on the beauty of the continent, but also, showing the happiness the people of Africa radiate.

“It’s just that I love to sing. I love to bring Africa to the world. The beauty of Africa, not the music that people are very content about seeing and talking about. Africa is not about that because I grow up in a country that is poor but people were very happy”, she stated.

Angelique further stipulated that she wants the world to see how powerful African women are.

“The women of Africa are the backbone of this continent and they are beautiful. So, I want the world to see that”, she stated.

Angelique won her fourth Grammy Award on Sunday, April 3, 2022, for her Mother Nature Album, beating Nigerian singers Wizkid, Femi Kuti, Made Kuti; Ghana’s Rocky Dawuni and Daniel Ho & Friends, to secure the plaque for the Best Global Music Album award.

Kaduna-Abuja Train Attack: ‘The Country Is In Mess’, Says Nollywood Actress, Toyin Aimaku

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has reacted to the death of Dr Chinelo, a victim of the railway attack on Monday 28th March 2022.

Chinelo, after she was shot, took to the microblogging platform Twitter to solicit prayer, but she got trolled for using the incident to chase clout.

Reacting to the sad incident, Toyin Abraham, in a lengthy post on her Instagram page, opined that Nigeria-kind of life could happen to anyone.

Toyin Abraham said the death of Chinelo should serve as a lesson to clout chasers who desire to score points, accolades and likes on social media at the detriment of others who they should take seriously.

According to Toyin Abraham, the country is currently in a mess, and she hopes the current administration will do all they can to fix it, or we will get a better candidate in 2023.
