Hon. Musiliu Olaide Adewale Akinremi Jagaban: In life and at death, your overbearing Legacy Lives On ~ Balogun Gaphar Ojetola

Elegy by Balogun Gaphar Babatunde Ojetola.

In hallowed halls of power, where few may tread,
A shining star once rose, and nations’ hopes were fed.
With vision, wisdom, and a heart of gold,
He led the people, young and old.

His time in office, brief yet bright,
A beacon shone, banishing the night.
He walked among us, with each step a guide,
Leaving footprints, where justice would reside.

But death, untimely, claimed its own,
And snuffed the flame, before the dawn was known.
The people mourn, with hearts forlorn,
For what could have been, and what was born.

Yet still we hold, the memories dear,
Of promises kept, and hope held clear.
His legacy lives, a torch that’s passed,
Guiding us still, through the darkness vast.

May his great heart, and noble soul,
Find peace in eternity’s goal.
And though he’s gone, his dream remains,
A better world, where love and justice reign.

The struggle to fill his void thickens,
Scores of men and women jostles for his seat
All struggling for survival.
