APC Debunks Oath-Taking Allegations in Ogun

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has dismissed reports alleging that its members were compelled to take ritual oaths as a condition for loyalty.

In a statement by its Director of Publicity, Olufemi Nuberu, the party described the claims as malicious, unfounded, and deliberately crafted to tarnish its image. He stressed that the APC has no culture of administering oaths to members, adding that the party operates strictly within the provisions of the constitution and the law.

Nuberu further clarified that oath-taking in Nigeria is regulated under the Oaths Act and only recognized for official and legal purposes, warning mischief makers to desist from spreading falsehood that could incite fear and disaffection.

The party urged the public to disregard the allegations, reiterating its commitment to transparent and lawful political practices in Ogun State.
