JJC Skillz took to his official instagram page to announce the separation from Funke Akindele. Read the statement Below:
Dear Friends and family I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted we shared a lot of things together and have created 2 beautiful children. The last two years have been extremely difficult for us. I know I have tried my best to fix things but I believe it is beyond repair now.
3 months ago and at Funkes insistence I moved out of the house and apart from AMVCA have not been able to get Funke to sit down in an amicable manner to discuss the future of our relationship. I’m making this announcement so that the public is clear that we both are pursuing separate lives. We still have issues that need to be addressed such as the custody and wellbeing of our children which is paramount as well as business interests which need to be disentangled but I have no doubt that these will be resolved one way or the other.

Organised Labour in Ogun State has declared an indefinite strike over what they termed the “pathetic plight” of workers across the state.
The strike which takes effect from midnight Tuesday would affect ministries, agencies, hospitals and public schools and other government agencies and parastatals.
Workers in the state last week gave Governor Dapo Abiodun a seven-day ultimatum to address their demands or face workers’ wrath in the state.
They claimed that the governor had refused to pay salary deductions for 21 months.
They added that the workers have not also gotten Statutory Leave Allowances in the last eight years.
This, the labour union said, was a breach of the State Pension Reform Law, 2006 (amended 2013) in the implementation of the Contributory Pension Scheme.
Their grievances were contained in a letter dated June 21 and addressed to Governor Abiodun.
The letter was jointly signed by the State Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Emmanuel Bankole; Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Akeem Lasisi; and the Chairman of the Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC), Isa Olude.
Following the expiration of the ultimatum, the labour leaders on Monday afternoon addressed workers at the Arcade ground at the state secretariat, Oke – Mosan, Abeokuta, where they declared an indefinite strike.
Mr Bankole said the government had failed to yield to the labour’s several calls for negotiation.
He said the indefinite strike would allow the government have a rethink and call for a dialogue.
“Anyone who reports for duty tomorrow (Tuesday) is a traitor and it has never been well with a traitor,” Mr Bankole added.
A suspected herdsman has reportedly stabbed a commercial bus driver and his conductor to death for knocking down and killing two of his cows with their vehicle in Lagos on Monday. It was gathered that the late driver lost control, causing his bus to hit and kill two cows belonging to the suspected herdsman at Agogo Igbala near Mowo.
This was disclosed by a Twitter user, @Austynzogs, who also posted pictures on his verified handle. He tweeted, “12h35: Civil disturbances at Agogo Igbala near Mowo, along Lagos/Badagry expressway, after a driver lost control and used his bus to hit & kill two cows belongings to a herder. The angry herder allegedly stabbed both the driver and conductor to death.”
Videos posted by the Twitter user show people gathered around the bodies of the deceased driver and cows. The second person allegedly killed did not feature in the videos. The front of the Lagos bus painted yellow and black is dented with some flesh of the dead cattle stuck to the grille of the vehicle.
All efforts to confirm the incident from Lagos State Police Command PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, were unsuccessful as he did not answer when SaharaReporters called him on his mobile. He also did not reply to the text message sent to him.

REMARKS BY PRESIDENT BUHARI AT THE SWEARING IN OF THE NEW ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE OF NIGERIA HONORABLE OLUKAYODE ARIWOOLA JSC
Earlier today, I received a letter from the Honourable Justice Dr. I. Tanko Muhammed, CFR, resigning his position as Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Council, on health grounds. The resignation is to take immediate effect!
CJN Tanko was appointed to the Supreme Court in 2006, sworn in on the 8th of January 2007, and became the Chief Justice of Nigeria in acting capacity on 25th January 2019. He became the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman National Judicial Council on Wednesday, 24th July 2019.
Ordinarily, he was scheduled to retire from the Supreme Court on the last day of 2023. Unfortunately, as no man is infallible, ill-health has cut short Chief Justice Tanko’s leadership of the Nigerian Judiciary at this time.
I am therefore constrained to accept his retirement, albeit with mixed-feelings. Much as one may wish that the Chief Justice of Nigeria Muhammed Tanko is able to fully serve his term in office, it presupposes that he is able to perform the functions of the Office without let, hindrance or any form of disability. The instant resignation of Justice Tanko is however envisaged under Section 231(4) of the 1999 Constitution as amended which contain provisions relating to vacancy and the occupant of the Office of Chief Justice of Nigeria being unable to perform the functions of the Office for any reason. Under a constitutional democracy like ours, government powers and responsibilities are clearly allocated and shared among the three tiers; the Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary. The three organs must work harmoniously and optimally in accordance with their respective Constitutional mandates.
Nigeria’s Judiciary under the leadership of Chief Justice of Nigeria Tanko Muhammed judiciously exercised the Judicial powers of the Federation. His era witnessed several landmark, jurisprudential and policy decisions by the Supreme Court, and by extension other Courts established by the Constitution. CJN Tanko dealt firmly with the issue of reckless and indiscriminate grant of ex-parte Orders that was assuming serious dimensions.
History will be kind to Justice Tanko Muhammed for his modest contributions to Nigeria’s Judiciary, the strengthening of our democracy and national development. In line with the custom of decorating Chief Justices of Nigeria with the second highest national honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, (GCON), and upon the advice of the Council of State in that regard, as his Lordship CJN I. Tanko Muhammed is taking a bow from the Supreme Court, I hereby bestow on him the National Honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, (GCON).
This occasion is an opportune time for me, to, as always, assure the Nigerian Judiciary that this administration is committed to ensuring the independence of the Judiciary and will not do anything nor take any steps to undermine your independence. We shall uphold the Constitutional provisions on the Rule of Law and the principles of Separation of Powers. In the circumstances, and as nature abhors a vacuum, I hereby invite Honourable Olukayode Ariwoola JSC, being the next most Senior Justice of the Supreme Court, to come forward to take the Judicial Oath as Chief Justice of Nigeria in an Acting Capacity, pursuant to Section 231(4) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
I want to admonish the Justices of the Supreme Court to always remain faithful and bear true allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and to remain steadfastly committed to the Oath of Allegiance which they all subscribed to, as contained in the 7th Schedule to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
Our Nation is approaching a critical general election in 2023, the Judiciary must not do anything to fail the ordinary people of Nigeria which may make them lose confidence in the Judiciary. Thank you and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
ODUDUWA NEWS has just gathered that the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN Tanko Muhammed has just resigned on health grounds.
His resignation comes amidst protest by Justices of the Supreme court on his handling of the Apex court.
Meanwhile, feelers from the Supreme Court have confirmed that the Iseyin-born Judge, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola who is next in line to Chief Justice Tanko may be sworn in by the President Muhammadu Buhari to head the Apex Court.
