Make witches and wizards your friends, Ifa Priest, Elebuibon advises

Renowned Ifa priest, Chief Ifayemi Elebuibon, on Thursday has advised people to embrace witches and wizards whenever they seem them. He said this while hosting the maiden anniversary of Progressive Witches and Wizards Association in Osun.
During the meeting, Elebuibon charged members of the group to seek knowledge about themselves and use their natural powers to improve their individual fortune and help the country.

He warned Nigerians, especially traditionalists not to engage in the killing of fellow men to avoid impending punishment hanging on people behind bloodshedding in the country.

Elebuibon said, “Eledumare is displeased with the shedding of the blood of innocent Nigerians. And there is grave punishment for that. It is happening in the north and down south. Political leaders and heads of security agencies in Nigeria must work to put an end to this. If they fail to do that, the consequences will be too heavy for this country.”

In her remarks, the coordinator of the group, Oyelola Elebuibon, opined that people have an erroneous idea of what witchcraft means, saying members of the group are “good husbands, wives, and mothers, that would always work for the progress of their families and well-wishers”.

She urged the witches and wizards to be of good behavior and put up acts that would encourage people of other faith to seek more knowledge about them.

Bayern decimates Barca 8 – 2 to reach CL semifinal

In an incredible Champions League encounter, Bayern Munich decimated an insipid Barcelona to reach the semi-finals, winning 8-2 in Lisbon.

The tone was set early on as Thomas Muller – making his 113th Champions League appearance – scored inside four minutes, but it was soon cancelled out by a freak own goal from David Alaba (7). The first-half floodgates then opened as Ivan Perisic (22), Serge Gnabry (28) and Muller (31) netted in quick succession.

Quique Setien bought on Antoine Griezmann at the break and there was a glimmer of hope for Barcelona when Luis Suarez made in 4-2 in the 57th minute, but it was short lived with half of Bayern’s goals still to come.

a sensational solo run from Alphonso Davies, Joshua Kimmich (63) slotted home the fifth before a late glut of goals embarrassed an abysmal Barcelona even further. Not to be left out, Robert Lewandowski (82) saw his goal given after a tight VAR review.

Barcelona loanee Philippe Coutinho then netted a late double (85, 89), with the eighth and final goal drawing an angry reaction from a number of the Barcelona substitutes, who displayed more passion than any of their team-mates on the field over the 90 minutes.

I will jail Obasanjo if i become Nigerian president – Ayodele Fayose

The former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose has said in an interview granted to Plus TV that he would jail the Nigerian ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo if he has opportunity to become the President of Nigeria.

He said, “Let me tell you, Obasanjo has made hate speech and should be brought to book by this government.

“I pray one day I will become President of this country by God’s grace Obasanjo will go back to prison.

“I am telling you the truth because there are so many things Obasanjo must be questioned about.

“Obasanjo is not a saint. When he came out of prison, his farm at Ota was in shambles but today, it is back to life.

“Where did get the money he used to resuscitate the once ailing farm? It was from the government.

“For the library, all governors at that time contributed N10m each to support Obasanjo by force.

“The third term is still fresh in our memory. So, baba should stop telling us he is a saint.”

The former Ekiti governor also chided Obasanjo for his comments on late Buruji Kashamu, saying he had paid his own dues and spent his time on earth.

“No court convicted him and he left and departed the world. Everybody will have an end. Let’s wait and see how Obasanjo will end,” he added.

Kashamu: Fayose tackles Obasanjo, says his end will soon come

The former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has condemned the statement credited to the former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the death of Buruji Kashamu

Fayose said, “It is regrettable that Obasanjo could say what he said about Buruji Kashamu after his death and when he can no longer question him. Why didn’t he say that when Kashamu was alive?”

Kashamu, who also represented Ogun East Senatorial District between 2015 and 2019 at the National Assembly, will be buried on Sunday [today] in accordance with Islamic rites at his Ijebu-Igbo hometown.

The lawmaker had faced extradition to the United States for alleged drug trafficking until his death.

But in a message titled, ‘Letter of condolence,’ addressed to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Obasanjo, who condoled with the family of the deceased and the state as a whole, also alleged that Kashamu used the instruments of law and politics to evade justice.

“The life and history of the departed have lessons for those of us on this side of the veil.

“Senator Esho Jinadu (Buruji Kashamu) in his lifetime used the manoeuvre of law and politics to escape from facing justice on alleged criminal offence in Nigeria and outside Nigeria.

“But no legal, political, cultural, social or even medical manoeuver could stop the cold hand of death when the creator of all of us decides that the time is up,” the former military head of state said, while praying that Allah forgive Kashamu’s sins.

Activities Crippled in Oluyole Factory Over The Death Of UI Student

Following the death of Gbadebo Richard, a 300-level University of Ibadan (UI) Student at the Oluyole factory, the management of Expand Global Industries Limited has suspended the production at its Oluyole Estate factory.

The undergraduate who was a casual staff in the factory was said to have slipped into the soap-making machine and died. Meanwhile, many human right activists have been calling on government to ensure that justice prevail over the death of the young guy.

It will be recalled that in October last year, thousands of human right activists trooped out to protest inhumane treatment meted on staff of a SUMAL Company in Oluyole, Ibadan particularly the casual staff.

It was also learnt that Casual workers in the company also joined the human right activists under the aegis of SPN, CDWR and others to demand an improvement in their slavery working condition.

Summal Food Company, located in Oluyole Estate, Ring Road, Ibadan, Oyo State, is a Lebanese owned company which produces biscuit, coffee and sweet gum among others. It is also involved in environmental and event decorations, digital photo and video coverage services. Summal has a number of high profile subsidiaries including Yale foods and Vital foods which produce digestive, Malted milk, Robot Gum among others.

Currently, over 15,000 youths, who are between the age of 18 and 23 years, are used as casual workers in the company. Every casual worker receives a meagre daily pay of N800. This is after working between 9 and 12 hours in a precarious job without avenue for break and company medical facilities even in case of any emergency. Every causal worker in the company compulsorily works from Monday to Sunday without any remuneration for overtime.

It was the accumulated mass anger and displeasure against this kind of slave working condition that triggered the October 2nd mass protest that paralysed both the production and administrative activities in the company for three days. This struggle which broke out in the early hour of the day was, at its commencement, directionless and uncoordinated. However this huge challenge was later overcome with the help of a quick and skilful intervention by members of the Campaign for Democratic and Workers’ Rights, CDWR, and Socialist Party of Nigeria, SPN.
