Nigerian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs NSCIA has joined Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar to declare Thursday 13th of May, 2021 Eidel-Fitri.
The short statement was made known this evening by Sultan of Sokoto, King S’aad Abubakar via NSCiA Twitter handle as read in part:
“There was no positive sighting of Shawwal crescent in Nigeria today, 29th Ramadan 1442 AH (Tuesday, 11th May 2021). Hence, tomorrow is 30th Ramadan 1442 AH (Wednesday, 12th May, 2021).
“Eidel-Fitri is Thursday”.
