The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has announced a two-week mid-semester break, beginning from March 28, 2022.
This was contained in a release on Saturday signed by the university’s Registrar, Mrs Magaret Omosule.
The statement read, “This is to inform staff and students of the university that Management, at a meeting held today, Saturday, 26th March, 2022, approved a two-week mid-semester break for students beginning from Monday, 28th March, 2022.
“We wish students of the university an enjoyable break.”
The university had been rocked with series of protests by a group of Ife indigenes who decried the non-appointment of an Ife indigene as the Vice Chancellor of the university.
The protest was, however, recently suspended.
