The proposed workers’ strike scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 3rd October, 2023, has been called off after the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), met with the federal government to allow the federal government implement the labour unions demands, Oduduwa News reported less than an hour ago.
According to Oduduwa News, the meeting which started on Sunday, was concluded on Monday and the two labour unions agreed to shelved the indefinite strike.
Confirming the development, the deputy president, NLC, Adewale Adeyanju, directed all members of the Maritime sector to resume work on Tuesday, 3rd September, 2023.
