The Commissioner of Police in the state, Hakeem Odumosu, confirmed the accident said the exact number of casualties is still sketchy, although it is believed that about 15 students are feared dead.

After hitting the schoolchildren, the police boss explained that the truck driver made attempts to escape but was chased by police operatives before being arrested.
