The first batch of Oyo pilgrims has returned to Nigeria from Saudi Arabia where they performed the holy pilgrimage to Islamic holy sites in Madinah and Makkah.
The pilgrims, which left Jeddah Airport at early morning in Saudi Arabian landed safely at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos at 12:pm Nigerian time
The first batch of the pilgrims numbering 550 would make their way from Lagos to Olodo Hajj Camp, Ibadan.
The Second batch of the state pilgrims are also expected back in Nigeria on Thursday.
Recall that the pilgrims left Nigeria for Saudi Arabia on Saturday 18th May, 2024 to partake in this year’s hajj exercise alongside over two million other Muslim faithful from Nigeria and some other countries of the world.
