Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun has officially been sworn in as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) by President Bola Tinubu.
The ceremony took place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.
Justice Kekere-Ekun’s appointment follows her confirmation by the Senate last week, after undergoing a screening process in the upper legislative chamber.
Prior to her confirmation, President Tinubu appointed her as the acting CJN following the retirement of her predecessor, Justice Olukoyede Ariwoola.
