Adeleke Issues Stern Warning to Osun Petroleum Marketers Over PMS Hoarding

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has caution the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter againt hoarding ofPremium Motor Spirit, or PMS.

During a courtesy call from the IPMAN leadership, the Governor issued the warning. He also stated that his government would never permit the association to put State residents through unfavorable hardship in order to obtain the good.

Adeleke emphasized that IPMAN is crucial to the economy of the nation and that whatever happens to gasoline will have significant effects on the economy.

While promising to meet with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, he assured them that he would continue to include them in the creation of policy while also promising to meet with them to help facilitate the process of reviving the shuttered Ibadan petroleum depot.

“I pledge to IPMAN that I will consider their numerous requests with a view to providing them with the necessary assistance.

“I will speak with Governor Seyi Makinde” In order to facilitate the process of reviving the dead Ibadan depot, he stated.

Earlier, Dr. Bukola Mutiu, the Chairman of IPMAN, appealed to the State Government for assistance in revitalizing the Ibadan petroleum depot, which served both Osun and Oyo States.

It will be less stressful to buy petroleum products without having to travel to Lagos and other States insisted Mutiu, if the government can fix it .Mutiu insisted

The Chairman also asked for help in areas such as reliable power generation and the provision of more buses for them to use in order to facilitate movement and member monitoring, while also urging the government to support the association by offering grants to aid them in deregulating the price of the products.

While promising to support the current administration by paying taxes and levies on time, Mutiu urged the government to present them with a unified bill.
