The Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi has paid a last respect to Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru at his residence.
This was contained in a statement made available via his Twitter handle as read in part:
“I and my brother Governors from Yobe, Niger, and Osun State were at the residence of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru to offer our condolences to his wife and family. He will be deeply missed for his selfless service and patriotic duty in Nigeria.
“May the Almighty Allah grant his family sabar in this difficult period and the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen”.
