ODUDUWA NEWS has gathered that the crisis rocking Ibarapa area of Oyo State has taken a new dimension as one Fulani farmer, identified as Amodu Shehu was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Friday evening at Abule Oba in Ibarapa North Local Government Oyo State.
The incident occurred at exactly 7pm in the late hours of Friday at Abule Oba immediately after the return of the man from his farm.
The incident was made available to newsmen by his father this Morning, Alhaji Umoru. Speaking to the journalist, he confirmed the sad event and said, those people started shooting sporadically yesterday at our village and they kidnapped my son and took him away, all what happened was an impromptu to us. We have reported the case to DPO Ayete Ibarapa North and one Ayete Chief, Odomofin, and Police officers followed us to the village on Saturday morning where we saw bullets of those people.
Speaking further on the incident, Alhaji Umoru said, this Kidnappers called yesterday morning and they demanded for 10 Million Naira as Ramson before they can release my son, when they called back in the evening, it was reduced to #7 million
Alhaji Umoru called on the Government to increase and monitor the security achitectures of Ibarapa Land because killing and kidnappings are becoming worrisome in the region.
Presently, the family of kidnapped Amodu shahu are seriously in sad mood.
