The Olowu of Owu Kuta King Adekunle Oyelude Makama CON has pleaded to the supreme head of all Obas(Olori Alade gbogbo) the Ọọni of Ife HIM Oba Adeyeye Enitan to please forgive the Oluwo Rasheed Akanbi. The traditional made the call for forgiveness while he was speaking in an interview with Awujo omo Yoruba.
He affirmed that Oluwo is just a kid and an ingrate who does not know who truly Ooni is.
In his response to a question, he said “Adeyeye ní Oluwo mọ, ko mọ Ọọni torí tó bá mọ Ọọni, yíó mọ wípé ìdá Ọọni mú yanranyanran” which means he only knows Adeyeye not Ọọni.
The highly respected monarch also condemned in totality all Yoruba Obas who parade themselves as Emir or trying to form any Council of Muslim Obas saying it’s just a tactics for them to get grant from the Arab’s.
He emphasized on the importance of Obas taking their responsibility of protecting the Yoruba cultural heritage which they inherited from their ancestors serious for them not end in shame. He said no Oba in Yoruba land is selected through Quran or Bible and none is installed by the Imam or Pastor.
