The tragic incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 9:40 a.m. near a filling station in Sagamu.

According to eyewitness reports, the vehicle, which was traveling at high speed from the Ijebu-Ode area towards the interchange, hit the pedestrians as they waited for a commercial bus on the sidewalk. The driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
